Are scholarships available for attendees from the Great Plains Annual Conference?

The Great Plains Annual Conference wants to help and encourage you in your call to ministry by providing funds for you to attend the Young Preachers Festival. If you are a member of a church in the Great Plains Annual Conference, you can attend this event designed to encourage and equip the next generation of church leaders free of charge through a scholarship provided by the Conference. Travel and lodging not included. To receive the scholarship, please email Ashlee Alley Crawford, the Great Plains Clergy Recruitment and Development Coordinator. Once you’ve contacted Ashlee, you may register here. Be sure to select Great Plains as your Annual Conference.  At checkout, select Pay by CheckDO NOT pay with a credit card. The Great Plains Conference will pay your Festival fee on your behalf. We are grateful for the partnership with the Great Plains Annual Conference in making these funds available to invest in young adults exploring and pursuing a call to ordained ministry.

Who should attend this conference?
This conference is tailored toward graduating high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students, seminary students, declared candidates for ministry, young clergy and young adults seeking to discover more about their call to ordained ministry or looking to develop more fully as a preacher. The conference is designed specifically for those between the ages of 18 and 34.
Do you still have openings?
Openings are still available for the conference, but registration is limited. Please submit your registration as soon as possible.
What are the preaching feedback sessions?
There is limited space for those who desire to come prepared to preach a sermon and receive feedback from a panel comprised of respected preachers and seminary professors. Registration for this optional opportunity is an additional $20. Participants will prepare and present a sermon based on a theme and group of scriptures. The guidelines are available on the Preaching Feedback page. Please review the guidelines to be sure you are adequately prepared. We hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity to preach and receive feedback as you grow and develop as a preacher entrusted with sharing the good news of the gospel. Learn more here.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
You will have the option to choose a vegetarian meal or gluten-sensitive meal during the registration process. While we recognize that there may be other dietary needs, we are unable to accommodate any other dietary restrictions at this time. Please plan accordingly. We appreciate your understanding.
Are Continuing Education Credits available?

Continuing Education Credits will be available for full participation. Certificates will be available for pick up at the Information Desk during the event. Certificates are issued by Church of the Resurrection and it is the responsibility of participants to check with their authorizing organization on the acceptance of these CE Credits. (.90 CE credits)

Will you be giving tours of your building?

We will be offering building tours on Wednesday, June 26 during Guest Check In. Tours will leave at 10:15 and 10:30am and take approximately 30-45 minutes. You will have the opportunity to see and learn about the architecture of the new sanctuary, opened in 2017, and tour the new Foundry space, just opened in June 2018.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?
You may cancel your registration at any time through Thursday, June 6.  Cancellations through June 6 will be subject to a $20 cancellation fee.  We are unable to refund any fees after June 6. Please understand that by this date we have prepared for your arrival with printed materials, catering and other provisions.  If you wish to transfer your registration to someone else, you may do so at any time by contacting us at
Can I attend the conference for just one day?
We encourage you to attend the entire event. There are no reduced registration rates for partial attendance.
Will childcare be available?
While children are a high priority at Church of the Resurrection, this is an adult training event and childcare is not available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
